Kansas Release Information
The registered owner must provide all the following items:
- Current Registration
- Valid Insurance Card
- ID
- CASH to pay fees/charges

If the vehicle was ordered to be towed by KCKPD for expired registration, the owner must do the following:
KS Residents:
- Register the vehicle and obtain a release from the KCK police department.
- Bring the release form, valid ID, and cash to pay charges to pick up the vehicle.
MO Residents:
- Obtain a tow-out release form from KCKPD.
- Bring the release, valid ID, and cash to pay charges to release the vehicle.
- All City Tow Service Tow will tow the vehicle to the MO state line for an additional $150.00 or the owner can arrange for a tow company to pick up the vehicle.
- The owner will not be allowed to drive the vehicle off the property.
Releasing Property
To collect property from a vehicle, the registered owner must provide the following items:
- ID
- CASH to pay charges
- Obtain a property release from the KCKPD first
Releasing to Insurance
The registered owner must provide the following:
- Registration
- ID
- Owner’s current insurance card
- Insurance claim information
- Current phone number
The registered owner can release the vehicle to insurance in person at the tow lot or by email. Email all information to [email protected].
Inspections – KS Residents
KS residents needing an inspection must provide the following:
- Original Title
- Keys (if not received with the tow)
- ID (License, state ID, Passport)
An inspector with the Kansas Highway Patrol will inspect the vehicle and call the owner when the inspection is completed. All City Tow Service does not know when the inspector will arrive, as this is at their convenience.

- Bring proof of ownership (Current title or current registration)
- A valid driver’s license
